BEIJING, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Local government bond issues from January to July of this year stood at 4.9872 trillion yuan in China, reported Xinhua Finance citing data released by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.
The figure includes 1.7999 trillion yuan of general local government bond issues and 3.1873 trillion yuan of special-purpose local government bond issues.
In July, 619.1 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued, including 268.6 billion yuan of general local government bonds and 350.5 billion yuan of special-purpose local government bonds.
By the end of July, total balances of China’s local government bonds were 38.0234 trillion yuan, of which general bonds were 14.8593 trillion yuan and special-purpose bonds were 23.1641 trillion yuan. (Edited by Duan Jing with Xinhua Silk Road, duanjing@xinhua.org)
