BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhua) -- The People's Bank of China (PBOC), the Chinese central bank, released results of renewal of the sixth batch of payment licenses for non-banking payment institutions on July 5, reported Xinhua Finance.
As PBOC's announcement shows, a dozen of non-banking payment institutions obtained extended payment business licenses for another five years.
The 12 third-party payment institutions with renewed payment licenses include Beijing Duxiaoman payment technology Co., Ltd., Beijing SinaPay Technology Co., Ltd., and Yiwu Pay, a payment platform firm under Zhejiang China Commodities City Group.
As two firms involve situations provided in PBOC's rules on administrative licensing, they were suspended from examination over renewal of their due payment licenses.
Another two firms did not apply for extension of their payment licenses and there were also two firms that have exited within the valid periods of their payment licenses. (Edited by Duan Jing with Xinhua Silk Road, duanjing@xinhua.org)
