BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- China's passenger vehicle market remained stable in January with sales of passenger vehicles expected to reach 1.4 million units, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News on Tuesday.
It is estimated that passenger vehicle sales in February will continue to grow as accumulated orders in January are to be delivered successively.
A report released by China Automobile Dealers Association recently showed that the country’s car-purchase tax cut, local government subsidies, dealer promotion activities, among other factors, may all contribute to the auto market recovery this year.
According to the report, most of car dealers believe that the annual growth rate of passenger car sales will approach 5 percent this year and 62.3 percent of them have raised their sales targets for 2023. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
