MILAN, Oct 20 (Class Editori) — From December, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP)'s business matching platform will expand to South Korea. To date, the tool launched in November 2021 is operational in India, China, Japan, Morocco and Mexico. The platform then expanded its reach to Indonesia on September 19.
To strengthen its reach, CDP has signed a memorandum of understanding with Confindustria to support the development of trade relations between Italian and foreign companies, strengthen the number of exporting SMEs, encourage greater participation of Italy in global value chains and initiate a synergy on digital tools for export and internationalization.
The agreement, signed by Pasquale Salzano, Chief European and International Affairs Officer at CDP and President of SIMEST S.p.A., and by Barbara Beltrame Giacomello, Vice President for Internationalization at Confindustria, consolidates the collaboration between the two institutions in developing connections between Italian companies and potential new foreign partners to facilitate the development of economic relations and trade agreements.
The memorandum, which will last two years, includes, among other things, the promotion of the CDP Business Matching platform within the associative and business network of Confindustria, the joint organization of a series of digital events, as well as the involvement of the Confindustria Associations in the initiatives and activities planned as early as the upcoming weeks. To date, the total number of registered companies exceeds 3,000, of which 1780 are Italian and about 1,250 are foreign.
