MILAN, Oct 24 (Class Editori) — CFE Finance, an investment banking boutique led by CEO Mario Cordoni with offices in Luxembourg, Geneva, London and Monaco, announced the signing of a binding agreement to acquire 60% of RiverRock European Capital Partners LLP, a boutique specializing in alternative investments.

RiverRock, led by CEO Michel Péretié since 2013, is based in the UK but has offices in Paris, Milan, Madrid and Luxembourg. The transaction, subject to the approval of the British Financial Conduct Authority, will, on one hand, allow CFE Finance to strengthen and further expand its investment offering in Europe by diversifying its portfolio, and, on the other hand, will allow RiverRock “to continue to specialize in supplying alternative solutions to global investors and customized solutions to European SMEs,” CFE Finance explained in a statement.

Investing in the world of lending and securitization

Founded in 2009, RiverRock offers a range of services including asset management, financial advisory, securities brokerage and technology solutions. “We are pleased to have reached a strategic agreement to grow our business in Europe,” Mario Cordoni, CEO of CFE Finance, explained. “Upon completion of the acquisition we will work immediately with RiverRock's management team to develop the best synergies and strengthen our respective market positioning”.

Michel Péretié, CEO of RiverRock, believes that “this transaction will further strengthen and expand our investment platform now that traditional financing channels are unable to fully meet market demand”. RiverRock, as it is reported on the website, invests in risk-adjusted returns products in difficult-to-access markets and, among other things, securitization structures.

The London-based company structures and invests in loans, debt securities, hybrid capital and finance leases. For senior secured loans to mid-cap companies, RiverRock works with ING Bank “to source and co-invest in lending opportunities through the leading European funding network” of the Dutch Group.
