BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Bank of Beijing, a commercial bank in the Chinese capital, launched its new digital and low-carbon service brand named "Jingtanbao" on Wednesday, reported China Securities Journal.
The "Jingtanbao"carbon account for enterprises innovates green payment and green financing services. It records the green footprint of enterprises and helps enterprises to implement the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, forming a beneficial cycle of green finance, energy conservation and emission reduction.
During the launching ceremony, the Bank of Beijing also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Digital Currency Research Institute of the People's Bank of China, aiming to jointly promote the pilot research and development of digital RMB and serve the digital transformation.
In recent years, the Bank of Beijing has actively promoted the application of digital RMB, optimized low-carbon trading methods, and provided a package of wallet opening and transfer services through electronic channels to popularize green and low-carbon production and lifestyle.
According to the bank, it will take digital transformation as the core and actively practice ESG concept, and continue to inject digital momentum into green, low-carbon and sustainable development.
