HANOI, June 1 (Xinhua) -- More than 3.1 million passengers have used the China-built Cat Linh-Ha Dong metro line in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi since its first day of commercial operation in November last year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Wednesday.
Vietnam's first metro line has an average number of daily passengers from 21,000 to 22,000 on weekdays, and 25,000 to 30,000 on weekends.
The train is on schedule 99.98 percent of the time. Daily passengers with a monthly pass account for up to 60 percent of travelers, and up to 80 percent during rush hours, according to the news report.
There are now 54 bus lines connected to the Cat Linh-Ha Dong urban elevated railway, with 16 lines at each of the two ends of the railway line, and eight to nine lines at intermediate stations, the news agency reported.
