MILAN, Feb. 18 (Class Editori) — A triple degree in Business Administration uniting Italy, China and the US. The initiative, a form of "cultural and educational diplomacy," was launched by Luiss Guido Carli. "ACE", acronym for "America, China & Europe", unites three different countries and managerial and institutional cultures, representing an absolute new entry in the world scene of higher education. In addition to Luiss, it involves Renmin University of China in Beijing and George Washington University in Washington D.C.
The signing of the new educational path was attended by the Rector of Luiss Andrea Prencipe, the Pro-Rector for Internationalization Raffaele Marchetti, the President of Renmin University of China Liu Wei and the President of George Washington University Mark S. Wrighton.
Starting in September 2022, the highly innovative and geographically itinerant ACE degree course, structured over a total duration of four years, will give students the opportunity to earn three degrees, one for each university, valid and recognized in the US, China and Europe, and to aspire to hold positions of responsibility in multinational corporations and global institutions. An international educational experience that will offer the opportunity to immerse oneself in the economic, social and managerial cultures of the three continents.
The students enrolled will spend the first year at their respective universities to learn the fundamentals of economics and management. Then they will spend the second, third and fourth year in the three capitals, starting from Luiss in Rome, moving to Renmin University in Beijing and finally in the States, at George Washington University. The costs of enrolling in ACE are in line with the fees of the respective home university for the whole duration of the course.
"The ACE program, a partnership involving Luiss, Renmin and George Washington Universities, places Italy at the centre of international higher education and moves towards addressing the need to train global managers, capable of working and interacting in increasingly multicultural contexts," Andrea Prencipe, Rector of Luiss, stated and further underlined that: "According to us, having traced an ideal red thread among the capitals of Rome, Beijing and Washington, in line with our Strategic Plan and an innovative educational pattern, means to train professionals with a cosmopolitan spirit and to encourage the international mobility of talents”.
