MILAN, Jan. 14 (Class Editori) — The Board of Directors of Gibus — Italian brand in the high-end Outdoor Design sector and innovative SME, which was founded in 1982 and was listed on Euronext Growth Milan — had a meeting today under the chairmanship of the CEO, Gianfranco Bellin, to review and approve the unaudited consolidated revenues by December 31, 2021.
Revenues amounted to 72.7 million euros, +61.4% compared to 45.1 million euros on December 31, 2020; its high-end luxury segment recorded revenues of 32.4 million euros, +65.2% compared to 19.6 million euros in 2020, representing 46% of the total revenues (45% in 2020).
By December 31, 2021, the "Invoice Discount 50%" initiative involved over 7,600 files managed since the project's launch for retail revenues of 54.6 million euros in total, of which over 7,200 files in the year 2021 alone for total revenues of 51.2 million euros.
It should be noted that this figure refers to the revenues achieved by participating retailers and not to the revenues achieved by Gibus. The tax credit under management amounts to a total of 27.3 million euros, equal to 50% of the retail orders' value, of which 21.4 million euros have already been paid by Gibus to its dealers.
Gianfranco Bellin, Chairman and CEO of Gibus, stated: "If we analyse the composition of revenues for the year 2021, which increased overall by 61% compared to 2020, all the strengths of our Group emerge. First of all, the performance of over 60% for both Luxury and Design lines highlights our ability to effectively preside over all the segments in which we are present, proposing innovative solutions that are appreciated by the market for their ability to combine design, technology and sustainability. Revenues from Gibus Atelier, which represents 82% of the total with a growth of 65.7%, show the strength of our dealer network, while the result on foreign markets, with a growth of 33% on revenues, comes from the ability of the company's Export Area Managers to guarantee customer proximity, compensating for the difficulty of travelling through the use of digital media. Finally, the 74% increase on the Italian market represents our ability to fully seize the opportunity given by the 50% Ecobonus on awnings and pergolas (thanks to our initiative "Invoice Discount 50%"), with the possibility for taxpayers to benefit from the immediate invoice discount instead of the tax deduction over 10 years.
Gibus was the first company in the sector to structure an organized flow that allows Gibus Atelier network's dealers to offer final customers an invoice discount: this initiative, which became operational during the last months of 2020, has proved to be a fundamental sales tool for the network of affiliated dealers who, since the beginning of it, have processed over 7,600 files. The renewal of the Ecobonus and of the invoice discount option until the end of 2024, as decreed by the recently approved 2022 Finance Act, allows us to see this initiative as an important medium-term driver on the Italian market, during which we will strive to further strengthen our presence in the main foreign markets and enhance our production capacity thanks to the new plant, the construction of which will start in the coming months.
