InfoQuest (December 28, 2021) -- According to Anutin Charnvirakul, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Thailand will temporarily suspend the registration for quarantine exemption for foreign visitors. "Test and Go" quarantine exemption program will be temporarily halted from December 21 to January 4, 2022.
There are 200,000 visitors who have previously registered to enter the country under the "Test and Go" before this announcement, including 110,000 visitors already approved and another 99,000 waiting for approval.
These visitors will still be able to enter Thailand. However, they will be required to take COVID-19 test. While traveling in Thailand, their mobility will be closely tracked and monitored.
Entry policies and other related measures will be reviewed again on January 4, 2022.
The Thai government is confident to control the pandemic situation through its vaccine measures and DMHTT (distancing, mask wearing, hand wash, testing, Thai Cha na) measures.
