InfoQuest (December 17, 2021) -- Thailand's Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prayut Chan-o-cha attended and chaired the opening ceremony of the "5G Smart Hospital" Project at the Siriraj Hospital, which marks the first-of-its-kind in Thailand. The project aims to bring a more efficient and convenient experience to patients and promote the hospital to become a model for smart hospitals in Thailand.
Thai Prime Minister said that technology plays a vital role in improving efficiency in areas such as medical care and health. The Thai government has rolled out relevant policies and introduced technologies to improve work efficiency and promote digital transformation in various fields.
He hopes that the project will be expanded to other hospitals across the country, to promote medical innovation and development in Thailand's public health sector and provide a better life for people.
Siriraj Hospital will introduce 5G and other technologies to improve the quality of medical services and provide people in remote areas with better access to advanced health services while setting an example of new medical services and contributing to global public health.
The project includes an Innovation Lab and nine sub-projects such as intelligent emergency medical service, intelligent emergency rooms, Multi-access Edge computing, and Hybrid Cloud system.
Thai Prime Minister also pointed out that what the government did today is to enable all people to realize the importance of health. He also emphasized the significance of formulating long-term strategy and overall planning.
