BEIJIJG, March 26 (Xinhua) -- East China's Anhui Province will strive to promote the high-quality development of intelligent voice and artificial intelligence (AI), and make China Speech Valley achieve a robust rebound at the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), according to a meeting jointly held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the local government on Thursday.
China Speech Valley, located in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province, is the country's first national industrial base focused on Speech and AI.
Thanks to the cooperation mechanism between ministries and provinces, China Speech Valley saw operating revenues exceed 100 billion yuan and the number of enterprises surpass 1,000 by the end of 2020, becoming a landmark in the national intelligent voice industry.
With an aim to build a world-class intelligent voice industry cluster, efforts would be made to achieve breakthroughs in core technologies, optimize industrial development environment, and create an open and cooperative industrial ecosystem.
Moreover, it is necessary to carry out an in-depth planning of the subdivision areas, rely on the power of market and capital to boost high-quality development, and continue to deepen cooperation between ministries and provinces.
