HANOI, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam earned roughly 50.9 billion U.S. dollars from exporting phones and components in 2020, posting a year-on-year decline of 1 percent and accounting for 18.1 percent of Vietnam's total export revenue, according to the country's General Statistics Office on Thursday.
In December alone, however, Vietnam earned around 4.3 billion U.S. dollars from selling the products overseas, surging 50.8 percent on a yearly basis.
In 2020, Vietnam spent nearly 16.6 billion U.S. dollars importing phones and their components, seeing an increase of 13.3 percent from 2019, said the office. Enditem
