MILAN, Dec. 7 (Class Editori) - New headquarters in Shenzhen for Pininfarina Shanghai, a further step of a growth path with the aim of becoming leader in the area and supporting customers in specific sectors, such as furniture, appliances and healthcare.
The Chinese branch of Pininfarina Group, focused on design services, has recently strengthened its own business under the leadership of the General Director Simone Tassi, by recording a significant increase in customers' and employees' number. This new headquarters in Shenzhen, with a dedicated team, is in line with the company's consolidated presence on the Chinese market and should ensure a further expansion.
Shenzhen, symbol of the Chinese economic miracle, with an average growth by 20.7% y-o-y in the past four decades, is considered as the "driving force" of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, with the mission ofturning it into one of the most developed regions worldwide.
Pinifarina has been the first Italian design company to provide design services to the Chinese automotive companies since 1996. In 2010, it established Pininfarina Shanghai with the aim of creating a design centre in the automotive hub of China, strategic also for the Asian area. Today, Pininfarina Shanghai is a design studio able to provide to the Chinese market a complete range of design services, from automotive to architecture and industrial design.
Since October 2018, Pininfarina Shanghai has launched the activity in the Industrial Design sector under the leadership of Antony Margiasso, who comes from the headquarters of Cambiano and has a long experience in different kinds of strategic projects. The department of Industrial Design has started to work for the most important Chinese brands such as Hisense, Haier, Lenovo, Supor, Angel, by supporting companies not only for the domestic market, but also helping them to create a more global identity and becoming more competitive outside China.
