MILAN, Dec. 1 (Class Editori) - The fourth edition of the Milan Design Film Festival at Shanghai has ended at the Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum, in the Jing'An district. This year, it was held simultaneously with the Italian Design Day, an event which promotes the Italian Design at an international level every year, by sending Italian experts in the main cities worldwide as testimonials.
This year, the testimonial for Shanghai has been Silvia Robertazzi, founder and curator of the Milan Design Festival, who has participated with a video contribution.
The Consul General of Italy in Shanghai- Michele Cecchi- the Councillor for Culture and Tourism of the Jing'An district- Chen Hong- and the executive director of the Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum- Gan Zhiyi- have participated to the launch of the show.
All of them have recalled how this MDFF at Shanghai Edition is part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and China.
Consul Cecchi has talked about the excellent relations between the two countries and the several connections which link Italy to the city of Shanghai, in particular to the Jing'An District, where not only the MDFF but also the Salone del Mobile of Milan-Shanghai has been traditionally held during the years.
The Council member Chen Hong has highlighted the international calling of the Jing'An District and has pointed out the effective collaboration established with the Consulate General and the Italian Institute of Culture.
In the meantime, in Beijing, in the framework of the Italy-China international relations, the Ambassador Luca Ferrari has met today the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Hu Heping. With him, he has talked about the main bilateral collaboration topics, in particular the preparations for the Italy-China Year of Culture and Tourism 2022, the relations in the museum field against the trafficking of archaeological finds, synergies for the Winter Olympic games in Beijing in 2022 and those in Milan-Cortina in 2026.
Italy will host a G20 dedicated to Culture and Tourism. On the one hand, the safeguard of the cultural heritage will be in the spotlight, with a focus on the topics of climate change, education and fight against illegal trafficking. On the other, attention will be paid to the relaunch of sustainable tourism.
