MILAN, Oct. 29 (Class Editori) - From China to Italy, Intermeeting is ready to launch also in the Matrix peninsula a multimedia project designed to support medical staff in the discussion of complex or rare clinical cases. The company specialized in the design and provision of services for the training and scientific updating of health professionals has already tested the tool in the People's Republic of China. About 54,000 Chinese doctors took part in the first appointment.
For each clinical case of particular interest identified by Chinese doctors, Intermeeting finds the Italian expert with a strong competence in that particular clinical context and employs doctors and experts of the subject through the sending of a newsletter and the sharing of the main data of the case, a note explains. The discussion of the clinical case is subsequently carried out through Mediclassroom 4.0, the innovative Intermeeting platform for distance learning, and hosted in a virtual television studio. In this space, the participants have the opportunity to listen to the case's explanation, the solutions - actual or probable - to intervene and to offer their own contribution in the identification of diagnosis and therapies.
"The possibility of conveying in a single virtual space the Chinese knowledge and the quality and preparation of the Italian medical staff, thanks to an innovative and new tool, marks a significant step forward not only in strengthening this link between the two countries, but in implementing knowledge, improving efficiency and achieving important results in the medical field," Professor Zhang Jing from the Fuwai Hospital in Beijing, has highlighted.
"What we are aiming at and which, we have actually realised in China, is the creation of a relationship network among specialists for the concrete problems involving the most important value, that of the healthcare", as Franco Folino- Professor of Padua University and President of the Intermeeting scientific committee has explained. "In this dramatic moment, we are grateful and proud of being able to give a concrete contribution to the progress in the medical field: during a period when social distancing is responsible reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, the remote collaboration becomes a crucial resource. The experience on the field by the Italian doctors and the renowned authority profile of our universities represent, today more than ever, a fortune that the entire world asks us to share."
Last year, Intermeeting signed with Lee's Pharm, a public biopharmaceutical company, in 2010, considered as the second-best Small Cap of the country, an agreement for the distance learning with 400,000 Chinese doctors.
As for the company founded in 1999, the foreign market represents one of the growth drivers. In the last years, it has created training projects in Latin America, Africa and the UAE by training over 65,000 doctors. Meanwhile, in Italy, the distance learning has involved 45,000 people.
