Abstract : Among the main advantages for Italian companies, the creation of a profile and a virtual showroom on the Italian Pavilion marketplace, with a management of at least 10 products.

MILAN, Oct. 14 (Class Editori) - A collaboration agreement has been signed between ICE and Gmarket, the Korean e-bay, which is used every day by 32 million consumers in the country. The products included in the agreement range from fashion to leather goods, from jewelry to design, from eyewear to beauty products. The agreement, described during a webinar organized by the Italian Embassy and ICE, will allow to increase the number of Italian companies and products which are present on the platform.

And then, investment in digital advertising campaigns in order to promote Made in Italy according to the reference target; customer care before, during and after the purchase; payment management through credit cards, PayPal, Alipay, Debit Card, bank transfer. Cross border management of the products logistics, from the clearing house (logistics hub located in Frankfurt, Germany), to the end consumer in Korea. Management of the invoices, profits and returns in South Korea and deposit of the revenues in Italy.

The project provides for the access to a services package, which are provided by the service provider GECL, the company suggested by E-bay Korea (Gmarket) as sole Trusted Partner for Italy. It will support and train the interested companies. The companies admitted by the ICE Agency will be contacted by GECL in order to sign a services contract in English which will be in force for 12 months.

The participation to the initiative provides for an initial subsidized investment of €6,600 for the first year, 3,000 of which at the expense of the Agency and the remaining 3,600 at the expense of the participating company through a specific contract with GECL. €3,000 out of the total investment will be usedto offer personalised support to the companies and for advertising campaigns over the first twelve months. The subscription to the project is limited to a maximum of 150 enterprises, which will meet the minimum requirements for the selection, indicated in the specific section.

The agreement is part of the process of boosting export digitalization, which has been started by the Agency chaired by Carlo Maria Ferrowith the aim of supporting export and internalization. In order to relaunch the Made in Italy worldwide, after the blows inflicted by the bottlenecks of global supply chains and by the drop in consumption due to pandemic, the focus will be on the e-commerce and the promotion of online and offline large-scaledistribution. For this reason, ICE has put in place 25 agreements with the market places of 15 countries.

The agreement with Korea is of particular interest and in timing because Seoul Government has proposed a five-year initiative of about $130 billion in order to encourage the growth in the post pandemic phase and rebuild the economy of the country.

The New Deal, proposed by the president Moon Jae and by the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Finance, will inject about $132.9 billion in new industrial sectors in order to create 1.9 million workplaces by 2025.

The expenditure aims at starting the South Korea transformation in a more sustainable economy in terms of environment by fostering it with digital technologies, as the Ministry has explained. The National Government will cover almost one quarter of the overall expected amount, while the local authorities and the private sector will be asked to intervene in order to finance the remaining part.

Artificial intelligence, 5G networks, electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered cars and remote medical services are among the sectors on which the new initiativewill be focused, as the Ministry has underlined, by adding that part of the expenditure will be used to support the social and domesticspending.
