Thailand Cabinet Approves Three Programs to Bolster Consumption

Abstract : Three programs have been approved by the cabinet meeting, i.e. national welfare card recharge, "co-payment" program and "shopping for rebate" program. More programs for special groups are to be expected.

InfoQuest (October 13, 2020) --  The Thailand Cabinet meeting was followed by a press conference attended by Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Suphatthanaphong Phanmishao, Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith and Deputy Finance Minister Santi Promphat, in a bid to seek a comprehensive solution to economic issues and build up confidence.

Three programs have been approved by the cabinet meeting, i.e. national welfare card recharge, "co-payment" program and "shopping for rebate" program. More programs for special groups are to be expected.

Mr. Suphatthanaphong said, the new Finance Minister will better serve the target and support the economic recovery.
