BEIJING, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Beijing's tourism consumption witnessed a sharp increase during the first seven day of the eight-day National Day holiday which ran from October 1 to October 8.
The 223 scenic spots and regions monitored by Beijing received a total of 13.798 million tourists during the period, resuming 99.7 percent of the number registered in the same period last year.
