InfoQuest (September 23, 2020) – According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance requested Thai cabinet to deliberate "half per person" program and subsidy increase to encourage spending.

The former provided 3,000-baht cash to each of 10 million people aged at or above 18 without welfare card, to buy daily necessities in small shops; the latter may increase the subsidy amount for 14 million welfare cardholders, with an additional subsidy of 500 baht per person per month from October to December 2020.

The Ministry of Energy applied an extension of oil production license for PTTEP Siam, in addition to 2021 budget and work schedule for the Thailand-Malaysia Joint Agency.

The Ministry of Industry proposed to postpone the land use right of Sila Industrial Company in Changwat Yala for mineral development in Class 1B watershed land.

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam expected the cabinet to consider the long holidays from November 19 to 22 to drive Thailand’s economic development.

Wissanu further suggested December 11 as a compensatory day off for Father’s Day on December 5. With Constitution Day falling on December 10, such a suggestion generated a total of four days of long vacation from December 10 to 13, attracting people to go away on trips.
