BEIJING, Sept.18 (Xinhua) -- China was Germany's biggest trading partner since 2016 and became Germany's largest export market in the second quarter of this year, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Thursday.
The rapid development of Sino-German trade benefited not only from the sound bilateral relations and complementary economic advantages of the two countries, but also from China's continuous opening up, Gao Feng, the spokesman of the MOC, said at a regular news briefing.
The benign pattern of Sino-German trade development was achieved through win-win cooperation between the companies of the two countries in accordance with the principles of marketization and the framework of the World Trade Organization, according to Gao.
Gao noted that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two countries have actively carried out medical supplies cooperation, deepened macroeconomic policy coordination, and beefed up efforts to create favorable conditions for the stable development of Sino-German trade.
