BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's online retailer JD.com saw a soaring net profits attributable to ordinary shareholders of 16.4 billion yuan in the second quarter of this year, compared with 600 million yuan in the same period of last year, according to the company's fiscal report released on Monday.
The company's revenue increased 33.8 percent from the same period of last year to 201.1 billion yuan in the second quarter of this year, the company said.
JD.com's annual active customer accounts registered a 29.9-percent year-on-year growth to 417.4 million in the 12 months ending on June 30 this year, while its average daily number of active mobile users grew 40 percent year on year in June.
By the end of June this year, JD.com had more than 280,000 employees.
