BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) --Netease.com Inc., the Chinese leading online game services providers, announced on Wednesday that its net profits from continuing operations attributable to shareholders amounted to 4.54 billion yuan in the second quarter of this year, up 35.3 percent year on year.
During the period, the company saw its net revenue spike 25.9 percent year on year to 18.18 billion yuan, according to the financial results released by the company on Thursday.
Net revenue from the company's online game services reached 13.83 billion yuan, an increase of 20.9 percent compared with that in the second quarter of 2019.
NetEase Cloud Music maintained strong growth momentum, with a significant increase in net revenue from both membership and live streaming, and secured a multi-year licensing agreement with Universal Music Group recently.
On June 29, the construction on NetEase Shanghai International Cultural and Creative Science Park kicked off, mirroring the company's determination to further accelerate its layout in game industrial chain.
