BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has built 5,746 charging piles in rural areas of southwest China's from January to August this year.
As the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector enters a stage of rapid development, the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has actively supported the construction of charging piles in rural areas.
For newly installed residential charging piles, State Grid staff members have been proactively promoting the policies for charging pile installation and electricity pricing. They give customers instructions on how to use the "State Grid Online" app to submit applications, so that residents can complete the process anytime, anywhere.
Meanwhile, the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has made efforts in the inspection and user guidance on electricity use during the operation of charging facilities. For instance, during travel peaks on major holidays, the company organizes pre-holiday inspections and assigns staff members for duty to ensure NEV users can charge their vehicles conveniently and travel without range anxiety.

In addition, the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has taken the initiative to plan for the construction of rural charging infrastructure, including the layout of charging and swapping facilities in districts, counties, and their subordinate townships. They are also prioritizing the development of rural transportation hubs while continuously improving the operation of rural charging infrastructure.

In the future, the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company will continue to serve the promotion of NEVs in rural areas by building a moderately advanced charging infrastructure network, innovating and developing charging applications in an orderly manner, and boosting social participation in the construction and operation of charging infrastructure in counties and villages.
