MILAN, July 22 (Class Editori) - DBA Group, the company from Treviso owned by De Bettin brothers active in the technological consultancy and specialized in networks connectivity and solutions in support of the infrastructures’ life cycle, takes a further step forward along the Belt and Road Initiative route. DBA, through its subsidiary in Slovenia Unistar, has signed an agreement with the Institute of Health Insurance of the country (ZavodzazdravstvenozavarovanjeSlovenije) for the supply, implementation and maintenance of the server IT IBM Mainframe series z15 Infrastructure.
The IT architecture which will be implemented is a privacy and resilience system, suitable to support workloads and has been designed to support the most demanding IT environments. The contract, worth €4.5 million, is an evidence of the long-term strategic partnerships between IBM Slovenia and Unistar, by confirming the market shares in the IT services sector of the Actual Group in the Balkan countries. The contract will last 36 months and the deliverables are in line with the projections described by DBA in the Industrial Plan 2019-2023.
“The Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia is showing its determination in providing a transparent and effective health system to each citizen”, as Raffaele De Bettin has stated. He is theCEO of DBA Group, one of the four brothers who established the company.
“Thanks to the new IT infrastructure, the activity levels of the Institute will be mainly efficient and reliable, crucial characteristics in order to safely manage the operativity”, as De Bettin continued, “Unistar and IBM engineers will work side by side aiming at implementing and maintaining the system for the following three years”.
Raffaele, together with his brother Francesco- the older son and President of the group- have been implementing, for four years, a development strategy in the Balkans and more generally in the countries which are benefiting from public investments in the connectivity networks and digital infrastructures along the Belt&Road, as well as on the East-West strategic routes. Apart from Balkans, DBA is particularly active in Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and inthe ports of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, in the terminals where goods coming from the East transit.
Through the Actual company, controlled by DBA, the group already provides ICT solutions to over 14 port systems or operators of port terminals in the Adriatic, Mediterranean, Caspian Sea and it is expanding its activities also in the Black Sea, by qualifying itself as a reference operator for information technologies addressed to port terminals management.
