July 10, 2020

Abstract : The 30th East China Fair, one of the largest regional trade fairs in China, is expected to move online this year amid the COVID-19 epidemic.

SHANGHAI, July 9 (Xinhua) -- The 30th East China Fair, one of the largest regional trade fairs in China, is expected to move online this year amid the COVID-19 epidemic.

The fair is scheduled to run from July 13 to July 17. It will roll out a 24-hour online trade platform that allows exhibitors and buyers to attend free of charge.

The online event will set up several themed exhibitions ranging from garments and textiles to home products and gifts. Meanwhile, special zones involving domestic sales of commodities originally produced for export and cross-border e-commerce will also be launched.

According to the latest statistics, the fair has so far attracted more than 3,500 enterprises, with over 71,700 products to be exhibited. Tens of thousands of buyers from countries and regions including Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United States will also take part in the event.

The annual fair, established in 1991, is jointly held by major provinces and cities in east China. It is regarded as an important barometer of China's foreign trade. Enditem
