Abstract : Maire Tecnimont, through its subsidiary Tecnimont, has won a contract worth 400 million dollars in order to carry out the project Bir Seba Phase II andMouiatOutladMessaoud Field Development.

MILAN, June 10 (Class Editori) -- Maire Tecnimont, through its subsidiary Tecnimont, has won a contract worth 400 million dollars in order to carry out the project Bir Seba Phase II andMouiatOutladMessaoud Field Development, in Algeria, by the Groupement Bir Seba, which groups the state body Sonatrach, Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation and PTT Exploration & Production Algeria, a subsidiary of the National Thai oil company PTTEP.

The project will be carried out at the oil fields located in the Touggourt area, about 130 km away from the North-east part of HassiMessaoud, and includes all the engineering, procurement and construction activities.

The contract provides for the expansion of the already existing treatment plant through the installation of a new separation unit, in order to double the current capacity by reaching 40,000 equivalent oil barrels per day.

In addition, the project involves the implementation of gas lift and water injection systems, the placement of two additional collecting facilities and more than 400 kilometres of pipelines transporting hydrocarbons in order to connect production wells tothe treatment plant.

The completion of the works is expected 40 months after the date of entry into force of the contract.

"After the tender we won with Sonatrach in 2018, this result allows us to further strengthen our industrial presence in the Algerian market in the strategic gas and oil sector, after having gained a great experience in the projects' implementation in the Middle East and North Africa. We are very proud of strengthening a mutual benefit relationship with such important customers, as evidence of our successes in the country.

This is the fifth tender we have won in 2020, despite the ongoing pandemic: a further evidence of the resilience of our core business", as PierrobertoFolgiero- CEO of the Marie Tecnimont Group- has explained. (All rights reserved)
