BEIJING, May 29 (Xinhua) -- The Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADBC), one of the country's three policy banks, has enhanced its credit support for water conservancy infrastructure, reported the Xinhua-run cnstock.com on Thursday.
Statistics show that it granted 48.431 billion yuan of loans to water conservancy construction projects in the first four months of the year, increasing 27.681 billion yuan over the same period last year and ranking the first in the banking industry.
By the end of April, its outstanding balance of water conservancy construction loans had reached 380.299 billion yuan.
The bank has made research and formulated development plan for the water conservancy loan business, drafted differentiated credit policies and tried to make up the "shortcomings" in rural water conservancy infrastructure sector.
Moreover, the policy bank has prioritized water conservancy construction as one of the ten key areas, included it into the "green channel," and offered support to make major projects resume construction as soon as possible.
In the next step, ADBC will continuously optimize its credit products while referring to the actual situation of enterprises, in a bid to give a full display of its function as a policy bank. (Edited by Zhang Yuan with Xinhua Silk Road, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
