BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, witnessed the contracting of 37 projects worth over 180 billion yuan on Friday.
All the projects are from the centrally-administered enterprises. The move will help Wuhan transform development mode, optimize economic structure and strengthen economic growth momentum.
Those projects involve many fields including optoelectronic information, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and new materials, automobiles and auto parts.
China Gezhouba Group Corporation plans to invest tens of billions of yuan to build a “Gezhouba City” in the Qiaokou District of Wuhan in a bid to cultivate first-class industrial ecology.
SPIC Hydrogen Energy Co. will invest in the construction of the hydrogen energy industrial base in central China, which is located in the Wuhan Development Zone. It is aimed at creating a platform for the development and industrialization of hydrogen energy technologies.
An official with the Wuhan Bureau of Commerce said that this time many centrally-administered enterprises brought in a number of large projects to Wuhan.
