BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- China's Jilin province has recently issued a circular on strengthening the quality control of medical supply exports, reported Shanghai Securities Journal on Wednesday.
The circular, jointly released by Jilin Provincial Commerce Department, the Provincial Medical Products Administration and Changchun Customs, aims to further promote the production of medical supplies, push enterprises to actively participate in the international cooperation in epidemic prevention and control, strengthen the quality control and standardize the export order.
According to the circular, the enterprises operating Class II and Class III medical devices shall obtain an operating permit or a record certificate for medical devices and the registration certificate or record certificate for medical devices products.
Enterprises should guarantee the effective operation of the quality control system in strict accordance with the regulations on the supervision and management of medical devices to ensure the products to comply with the approved technical requirements, provide the factory inspection report which meets the quality requirements of the importing countries and regions.
When clearing at the customs, it is necessary to provide registration certificates or record certificates for medical devices and statements of exported medical supplies. For other exports, enterprises need to achieve the business qualification and the exported products need to pass the inspection and meet the quality standards of the importing countries and regions which cannot be declared as medical products during the customs clearance.
