BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Qatar Airways, the aviation giant in the Middle East on Wednesday launched a new direct cargo flight service linking Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province with Doha of Qatar, reported Henan Daily Thursday.
The new cargo route is expected to enrich the "Air Silk Road" cargo route of Zhengzhou Airport by transferring goods from Zhengzhou to Europe, Africa, Australia, and South America.
Qatar Airways now operates 30 all-cargo freighters on its Chinese air cargo service network linking six destinations in the Chinese mainland.
At present, a total of 25 air cargo airlines are operating cargo flight services at Zhengzhou Airport, with 44 of cargo routes in operation, which has promoted the import and export trade of Henan Province and ensured a flexible international aviation logistic supply chain.
