MILAN, Apr. 24 (Class Editori) - A new chairman at the Fondazione Italia Cina. Mario Boselli is the new chairman of the Fondazione Italia Cina and succeeded Alberto Bombassei, who leaves a year in advance on the expiry of the mandate started in June 2018, when he had collected the inheritance from the founder Cesare Romiti.
Two vice presidents have been appointed at the side of Boselli. Riccardo Monti, former number one of Icee and current managing director of the Triboo group, was chosen as executive vice-chairman, who succeeded Diana Bracco, who maintains the role of advisor. The role of Pier Luigi Streparava was confirmed. He is also president of Streparava Holding and current deputy of the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce.
Vincenzo Petrone left his position. The interim management of Fondazione, which has been working since 2003 to foster economic, political and cultural exchanges between Italy and China, was therefore entrusted to the chief operating officer Marco Bettin.
"I am honored of this appointment by many qualified members of the Council of Fondazione, to which I will dedicate my utmost commitment in a time of particular difficulty, also linked to the Covid-19 crisis", said Boselli, entrepreneur in the world of textiles and honorary president of Camera Della Moda. "The fact that I'm also the president of the Istituto Italo Cinese will allow us to follow the same direction in relations between Italy and China, returning to a situation that has given good results when both the institutions were chaired by Cav. Lav. Cesare Romiti".
"My forty-year presence in China, with different roles and responsibilities - added Boselli - will help me to manage relations at various levels with the interlocutors of the People's Republic of China in the best possible way".
