COVID-19: Thai PM to discuss with private sector on economic recovery plan to benefit all target groups and reduce task duplication

Abstract : In regard to the criticism of the government's invitation of private sector to discuss the formulation of economic and social recovery plan.

InfoQuest, April 20 --  In regard to the criticism of the government's invitation of private sector to discuss the formulation of economic and social recovery plan, Ms. Narumon Pinyo Sinwat, spokeswoman of the Prime Minister's Office, said that the prime minister will listen to the opinions of all parties, such as private sector, social groups, and MPs from the government and opposition parties.

Such an effort aims to avoid task duplication and inadequate coverage of affected groups amid the epidemic, and the most important is to offer targeted assistance to target groups, noted she.

Besides, the government will work with private sector to discuss on the formulation of national commercial and economic recovery plans, such as reducing layoffs as many as possible. For this purpose, the government and private sector should work together to take concrete actions to solve the problems from all aspects.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha attaches importance to small and large enterprises, civil servants, ordinary people, and all other parties; all involved should work together to fight Covid-19; the prime minister believes that all parties matter when it comes to Thailand's economic and social recovery.

The prime minister has expressed thanks to companies that have donated money, equipment, and masks, and he believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, Thailand will surely overcome the crisis.
