BEIJING, April 16 (Xinhua) -- BOE Technology Group (000725.SZ) announced on Wednesday that it has entered a strategic partnership with Qualcomm to jointly develop innovative display products featuring Qualcomm 3D Sonic ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
According to the announcement, the two parties will combine their technical advantages and industry resources to cooperate closely in key technical fields, such as sensors, antennas, and display screen processing, in an attempt to bring more high-value-added innovative display products and solutions to users around the world.
Gao Wenbao, executive vice president of BOE, noted that BOE is expected to start shipping flexible OLED panels with integrated Qualcomm 3D Sonic sensors in the second half of this year.
Besides, the cooperation is expected to extend from smartphones and associated 5G technologies to Extended Reality (XR) and the Internet of Things( IoT).
