March 02, 2020

Abstract : The China-Europe freight train departing from southwest China's Chongqing municipality has been stayed in normal operation at a frequency of three trains per day, despite the COVID-19 outbreak, reported cqnews.net, quoting the train operator Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., LTD.

BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) – The China-Europe freight train departing from southwest China's Chongqing municipality has been stayed in normal operation at a frequency of three trains per day, despite the COVID-19 outbreak, reported cqnews.net, quoting the train operator Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics Co., LTD.

A freight train loaded with color LCD TV panels left Chongqing recently and headed for its destination Poland, while an inbound freight train carrying 62 carriages of timber goods arrived at Chongqing after entering China via Manzhouli Port.

cqnews.net, the mainstay news portal of Chongqing Municipality, quoted a person in charge of the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe freight train service as saying that Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistics has ensured the normal distribution of goods amid the COVID-19 epidemic by joining hands with local railway departments.

In terms of risk prevention and control, the company also advises international and domestic train agents to reduce economic losses by terminating investment plans and suspending current businesses, as well as to help enterprises share risks amid the epidemic by phasing back collection and adjusting train capacity.

To ensure the timely customs clearance process of international relief materials, the company has taken measures including free transportation of donated material, free storage of goods in German warehouses, and free customs clearance services.

It is noted that as of February 25, Yuxinou has provided transportation, transshipment, and customs clearance for 21 batches of relief materials from domestic and foreign charity donation enterprise.  (Edited by Jiang Feifan, 346129473@qq.com)
