BEIJING, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese authorities have recently unveiled a guideline to promote deep integration of express-delivery and manufacturing industries, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Friday.
The authorities support the manufacturing companies and express-delivery companies to establish joint ventures, give full play to their respective advantages, and develop supply chain services for the same manufacturing sector, according to the guideline released jointly by the State Post Bureau and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
By 2025, the scope of the express-delivery industry serving the manufacturing sector will be persistently expanded and it will be deeply integrated into the manufacturing fields of automobiles, consumer goods, electronic information, biomedicine, and so on, according to the guideline.
The express-delivery industry will be equipped with the capabilities of supply chain services covering the manufacturing procurement, production, sales and after-sales links by then, said the guideline. (Edited by Hu Pingchao with Xinhua Silk Road, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
