BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) – Central China's Henan Province is promoting online government services to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-2019).
Websites, apps, WeChat public accounts and other online platforms are used to address businesses' matters while minimizing face-to-face contact.
Residents in the province are encouraged to use a special public service app and Alipay mini programs to inquire about social security, provident funds and utilities and handle related issues through mobile APP.
Meanwhile, service and consultation hotlines for all kinds of government services are published through multiple channels. For matters needed to be handled on site, government officials will come to the neighborhood to provide services.
Cities and counties in the province have taken swift actions to provide e-government services.
Zhumadian City, for instance, published guidelines for registration and online matter-handling procedures on the three platforms, further encouraging residents and entrepreneurs to deal with life and business matters online.
Luoyang City sorted out 61 urgent matters needed to be handled by 15 departments and opened 85 of 256 service windows to address people's pressing needs.
