GUANGZHOU, March 24 (Xinhua) -- The 127th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has been postponed due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Due to the current situation of the epidemic, especially the high risk of imported infections, the fair will not be held on April 15 as scheduled, local authorities said on Monday at a press conference.
Guangdong will further assess the epidemic situation and make suggestions to relevant departments.
The China Import and Export Fair, held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, is widely seen as a barometer of China's foreign trade.
