MILAN, Mar. 19 (Class Editori) -- The coronavirus emergency is not stopping the works of the Italian Pavilion at Expo Dubai. The universal exposition is scheduled from the next October 20. In the meantime, the works in the worksite are going on, respecting the time schedule and the updated security measures.
Specific structures for the hands’ cleaning have been prepared as well as isolation and quarantine places addressed to suspect cases, as a note of Invitalia has explained. Moreover, it is provided that the temperature of workers will be measured each morning and the number of people involved in indoor meetings will be limited.
At the moment, the laying of the foundations has been completed and the first structures in steel which will be 27-meter high are starting to be seen. May will be a crucial month for the work progression, with the laying of the roof shells; in this way, the Italian home in Dubai will finally have a roof, which is meant to be the biggest tricolour flag ever realised in the course of the Italian’s history.
The delivery of construction materials coming from Italy is occurring regularly, as declared by the Investments Agency led by Domenico Arcuri, and this is continuing to happen “despite the limitations which have recently affected the air traffic from/to the UAE”.
On Wednesday March 18, during a conference call meeting, the steering committee of the 192 participant countries, the Bureau International des Exposistions (BIE) and the responsible for Dubai Expo 2020 discussed about the continuation of the works in the national and thematic Pavilions, as well as the constant monitoring of Covid-19 global impact.
During the meeting, a communion and solidarity message in facing the Covid-19 global crisis has been expressed, as well as the desire to continue together, with the needed measures, the march towards Expo 2020.
On July, the first construction phase of the Italian structure will be closed. It has been dedicated to interior fittings made of organic and innovative materials, which represent the excellences of the Italian companies which are organizing the Pavilion for the final rush of the fitting phase.
