InfoQuest (March 18, 2020) -- At a meeting with large enterprises, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak discussed the situations of COVID-19 outbreak; the Ministry of Industry, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and large enterprises such as ThaiBev, SAHAPAT, Unilever, CP, Central Group, and food enterprises affiliated to FTI also attended the meeting.
Somkid ordered the Ministry of Industry to produce 10 million cloth masks in two months, and hand out the masks from the next week.
Retailers have promised to ensure adequate supply to meet people's needs, and said that there is no need to stockpile goods.
Somkid also dictated enterprises to take measures to help employees, and asked them not to fire employees.
