NANJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) – East China's Jiangsu Province has announced a slew of measures to mitigate the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) epidemic and guarantee smooth economic progress, according to a circular issued by Jiangsu Provincial Government on Feb. 12.
According to the circular, Jiangsu will beef up efforts to increase financial support, keep supply chain unblocked and secure the provision of daily necessities.
Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Jiangsu can have their housing rent exempted or reduced up to three months if they have rented stated-owned properties.
Besides, hard-hit service companies that lay off fewer or no workers can get a refund of unemployment insurance premiums up to three months.
Xu Guanghui, deputy director of Jiangsu Development & Reform Committee, noted that Jiangsu will strive to ensure economic progress while strengthening epidemic containment with all-out efforts.
On Wednesday, the Province also rolled out a raft of supportive measures for SMEs in a bid to help them weather the ongoing epidemic and resume operations as soon as possible.
