BEIJING, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank) has granted loans worth over 4.5 billion yuan to enterprises engaged in the epidemic prevention and control work , the Xinhua-run China Securities Journal reported on Monday.
Hu Xiaolian, chairman of the bank, noted that the China Eximbank is determined to help enterprises battle against the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) epidemic and give full play to the effect of counter-cyclical adjustments.
By now, the bank has issued overall 3 billion yuan worth of financial bonds amid the epidemic with an aim to further guarantee financial support for the prevention and control of NCP.
Besides, the lender has waived loan interest charges for medium, small and micro-sized enterprises in central China's Hubei Province, the epicenter of NCP, and those hit hard by NCP in February.
The bank has taken a series of actions to help enterprises tide over the epidemic and resume their development.
The China Eximbank is a state-funded and state-owned policy bank dedicated to supporting China's foreign trade, investment and international economic cooperation.
