SHANGHAI, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- China exported 31.52 billion U.S. dollars of toys in the first eight months of this year, up 16.7 percent year on year, said China Toy & Juvenile Products Association at the ongoing China Kids Expo in Shanghai.
The exports include stuffed animals, dolls, educational toys, stroller, game machines and Christmas products, the association said.
The double-digit growth showed the resilience of China's toy industry, said Liang Mei, president of the association.
Scientific innovation has stepped up the transformation of the toy industry in China and increased the competitiveness of toys made by China in the global market, Liang said.
More than 100,000 new products made by toy enterprises from China and over 30 countries and regions are on display at the three-day expo that opened Wednesday.
