MILAN, Apr 22 (Class Editori) -- Emerge wants to introduce Italian innovation in food to the Far East market realities. The young startup, already selected by the "Le Village" Crédit Agricole incubator, aims at promoting the Made in Italy on the global market, thus starting the selection for 15 producers to introduce during the next Italian Food and Beverage in Singapore, planned for next June 19-20th. Seeds&Chips, as well as the Italian Chamber of Commerce, participated in the call for action.
Emerge is a platform connecting food producers of any kind against the backdrop of the digital market, presenting itself as a search engine for small and medium producers. It was founded by Lorenzo Di Brino, Giorgio Bertolini and Tommaso Spreafico, and includes Paolo De Gennis (ex CEO and Vice President of Esselunga, an Italian supermarket chain) and Marco Gualtieri (founder of TicketOne and of Seeds&Chips) among its investors. As of today, the available players on the platform amount to more than 500, all ready to connect with any potential buyer.
Thus the Singapore event wants to bring Italian producers to the attention of buyers and investors from China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam.
"It is an incredible opportunity, allowing the best out of our producers to meet international buyers," said Giorgio Bertolini, CEO of Emerge. "The global market is constantly on the look for excellent Italian products, and we are hoping to use this project to create a concrete chance for all excellence realities active in Italy to make themselves known".
