MILAN, Apr 16 (Class Editori) – Two new projects between design and ecological technology. Within the Shanghai Motor Show, Pininfarina presented two new collaborations with Karma Automotive and with Grove Hydrogen Automotive Company.

The brand continues its growth strategy on the Chinese market, cemented in December 2017 by the visit of the then Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai to the group's headquarters. Customers have doubled in the last two years. For 2019 the group expects a growth of employees in the Shanghai office. The company is also expanding to the electronic and industrial design sectors. The first architectural project in China is meant to this end, with a building that will be built in Shunde. Instead, the Hisense collaboration – one of the largest consumer electronics and household appliances in the world – started last October.
In turn, the partnership with Karma Automotive also opens up further opportunities on the US front. The collaboration will combine the commitment of the two partners in luxury automotive design and will be added to the growing list of Karma's strategic business partners who will play an important role in the "Value-Forward" business plan implemented by Karma's CEO, Lance Zhou, to accelerate the technology of the future and product development. The first results of the new partnership are expected for the second quarter of 2019.
According to Banca Akros, the partnership is another important element in the re-launch of Pininfarina because "it strengthens the customer portfolio, contributes to positioning Pininfarina as a leader in the design of luxury models, helps to improve the presence of the group and the recognition of its brand in North America and in particular in the key market of California, which has become one of the most advanced and dynamic markets for automotive innovation, especially in the fields of sustainable mobility and autonomous driving. Finally, it strengthens the company's order book".
