Not only there will be the possibility to download movies in a few seconds, but also to enable services based on augmented and virtual reality today unthinkable.
Q. Some operator revealed to be quite worried about the delayed development of a devices ecosystems, such as sensors that enable the Internet of Things (IoT), essential for 5G take off. What it your opinion in this respect?
A. Technologies such as 5G networks, the Internet of Things and a big use of artificial intelligence have the potential to change our world. Just think about the automotive sector, the 5G networks response rate, together with the artificial intelligence potential, is higher than human reflexes, with all that this entails. For the next future we will not just have a smartphone as an interface between the real and the digital world.

A. Foldable displays are a huge innovation, able to change not only the smartphone sector, but also that one of tablets and computers. We are at the beginning and we still have to solve problems such as possible scratches on the screens, but above all understand how to make the most out of them.
Q. The latest report of Gartner outlines the smartphone market decreasing for the volume but increasing for the value. What is your position in this scenario?
A. The framework outlined is correct and is linked to the smartphone central position in the daily life. For this reason it is important to offer not only technological innovation, as we always done, but also care about the user experience.
Q. Which will be the role of artificial intelligence in this field of application?
A. Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing every single thing. For what concerns smartphones, the first to experience its effects was photography, where AI is able to atomically set shooting parameters as a professional would do, or to stabilize a video better than how a professional camera is able to do. Soon it will contribute to manage the applications as well, automatically finding the restaurant that best suits my tastes and preference. It will not choose in my place, but it will help me to save time. (All rights reserved)
