BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- A total of 102 foreign-invested manufacturing projects have settled in Shanghai in the first 11 month of last year, with the actual arrival of the foreign investment standing at about 1.57 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 97 percent over the same period of last year, statistics from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce showed.
Actual arrival of the foreign investment in the city’s manufacturing industry accounted for 9.8 percent of that of Shanghai's total in the first 11 months of 2018.
To be specific, 90 percent of the actual arrival of the foreign investment in the city’s manufacturing industry mainly went to key industries such as equipment, electronic equipment and chemical industry.
These figures show that Shanghai's business environment has been improved and industrial transformation and upgrading efforts have been hailed by foreign capital, said an official of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. (Edited by Bao Nuomin)
