BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- China plans to establish a comprehensive clinical evaluation system for drugs within five years to promote rational clinical drug use, according to report by Economic Information Daily on Friday.
Infrastructure construction and pilot construction are expected to complete by 2019, the report says.
China will give priority to the establishment of clinical evaluation sub-centers and evaluation bases for anti-tumor drugs, cardiovascular diseases, and children's drugs, while setting up regional sub-centers in eastern, central and western China.
Meanwhile, a national drug clinical evaluation database and information platform will also be established for data and evidence sharing, according to the report. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
