BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Output value of southwest China's Chongqing in the intelligent industry will likely reach 750 billion yuan in 2020, according to the local newspaper on Wednesday.
More than 200 enterprises in Chongqing have achieved intelligent upgrade by now. Thanks to the intelligent upgrading, the production efficiency of these enterprises increased by 32.7 percent on average, and the rate of defective products decreased by 21.8 percent. Product development cycle was cut down by 12.5 percent on average.
By 2020, Chongqing is expected to build seven smart parks, 20 smart factories, 200 digital workshops and 2,000 digital production lines, making it an important intelligent industrial base and a leading city in big data intelligent application in China.
It is worth noting that an alliance of intelligent manufacturing and robotic industry along the Yangtze River Basin was officially inaugurated in Chongqing on Tuesday.
The alliance will serve as a platform for further exchanges with provinces and cities by the Yangtze River to expand communication and cooperation, and accelerate the flow of technology, talent, capital and other factors in industrial development.
Chongqing has so far established a whole robotic industrial chain integrating research and development, machine manufacturing, system integration, component parts production, and robot application services.
