BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- China's e-commerce giant JD.com and its financial unit JD Finance will host the JD Discovery (JDD) 2018 conference on November 20 in Beijing to co-explore digital technology innovation path and how real economy realize digitalization.
The conference is expected to gather more than 2,200 guests from fields of science and technology, industries, finance, academics and investment to share ideas on future technology development, with well-know figures including Chinese Academy of Engineering academician Li Defa, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor and Future of Life Institute chairman Max Tegmark, U.S. National Academy of Engineering academician and MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory director Daniela Rus, as well as ROBOGARAGE CEO Tomotaka Takahashi, among others.
The JDD conference, which was initiated last year, has become a top technology summit and labeled JD Finance a tech-focus firm that continues strengthening financial technology along with business expansion.
It is noted that JD Finance established its city computing department this February to embark on smart city business. In July, it unveiled the smart inspection robot to march into professional service robot market.
